Would you like to see the few sidewalks we have in WAA connect to one another without interruptions? Click here for map My suggestions are Broad Street sidewalks to Washington Road to Furys Ferry Road to River Watch Parkway (lacking from Berckman to Furys Ferry) Jackson Road at Wrightsboro Road to Walton Way Extension to Washington Road (lacking Cedar Hill on Jackson Road)) Walton Way from Gordon Highway to Jackson Road (lacking Aumond to Camilla then Ravenal to Tripps Court) Wrightsboro Road from 15th Street to Augusta Mall Entrance (Lacking red light where side walks change sides between Jackson & Marks Church) Wrightsboro Road at Highland Ave sidewalks continue to Berckman Road and end at Wheeler Joy Road at Wheeler Road to Boy Scout Road to Skinner Mill Road (lack sidewalks to Washington Road) Bransford Road at Walton Way (lack small area near Hazel Street) to Wheeler Road Ingleside Drive now goes only from Berckman to Boy Scout Road: should it extend to Aumond Road to Walton Way At Warren Road Bridge sidewalks go to Entrance of Beverly Heights at Washington Road Parrish Road at Washington Road sidewalks end at West Side High School which should continue to Parrish Road to Furys Ferry At Washington Road at Eisenhower Drive side walks end at Eisenhower Park and Canal Heritage area parking lot Pleasant Home Road sidewalks begin at Walton Way Ext. and end before the Pavillion Shopping Center at Washington Road Neighborhoods of Harrisburg and Montclair have many connecting sidewalks Hopefully schools, parks, and businesses with sidewalks could to lead to a walking community. I wonder if Bus Routes tend to follow sidewalk connections and this would encourage use of public transportation. ------------------------------------------------------------------- Community Needs Assessment we all should complete and mail before deadline Jan. 30, 2008.
